Asia Cup 2023: Chances Of IND vs. PAK In Super 4s Washed Out, Reserve Day, And Other Scenarios: Cricket fans across the world should brace themselves for more disappointment this weekend when the India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match takes place at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium. The weather prediction anticipates additional rain in the following days, notably in Colombo, where five of the six Super 4 stage matches are planned.
According to the Accuweather website, there is a 75% probability of rain on Sunday (September 10) for the India-Pakistan match. When the two captains, Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam, step out for the toss at 2:30 p.m. IST on Sunday, there will be 99 percent cloud cover. The temperature will be around 28 degrees, and the humidity will be at 77%.
By night, the likelihood of rain rises to 80%, with humidity reaching 89% and cloud cover reaching 100%. The Super Four match between India and Pakistan is also likely to be called off without a result.
Earlier this week, rumors of Super 4s circulated. Due to a 15-day weather delay in Colombo, the ACC decided on Monday to shift all of the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 matches to Hambantota. The decision was made after careful consideration of the weather prediction and the risk of rain interfering with the matches.
An email was also sent to the BCCI, SLC, PCB, and BCB of the Shah-led ACC informing them of the decision. However, the email was quickly rescinded, with the ACC stating that the matches would be held in Colombo as planned.

Will India vs Pak have a Reserve Day In Super 4s Of Asia Cup 2023
According to ESPNcricinfo, a reserve day has been added to the Asia Cup Super Four game between India and Pakistan on September 10. Aside from the final, this is the only match with a reserve day.
Rain is also forecast for the India-Pakistan match on Sunday, with a 90% likelihood of precipitation. If the weather cooperates, India’s bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah may be able to return to play after missing the Nepal match due to the birth of his child.
For both matches with a reverse day provision, attempts will be made to finish the match on the original day, even if it means reducing the battle. If the reserve day is triggered, the contest duration will be the same as it was on the last ball of day one.
Rain disrupted both of the Indian team’s games in the league round. Rain prevented the second innings of the match against Pakistan, and the match was called off. In the match against Nepal, the second inning was cut to 23 overs.

What Will Happen If India vs Pakistan Washed Out
In the case of numerous washouts, Sri Lanka and India would find themselves in an unusual scenario, deadlocked on three points and with the same net run rate. To break the tie, a coin toss will be used to determine which of these two teams will get the opportunity to compete for the championship in the final.
Bangladesh, which has already been defeated in one of their Super Four matches, would be left with only two points if more washouts occurred, thereby removing them from contention for the final. To add to the excitement, if the final match set for September 17 is also canceled due to inclement weather, the prized trophy will be split between the two.
The Super 4 phases, as well as the final on September 17, are due to take place in Sri Lanka’s capital city of Colombo when the Asia Cup 2023 starts on Saturday following a two-day hiatus. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will face each other in the second match of the Super Four on Saturday, September 9.
