Asia Cup 2024: India Women’s Squad And Full Schedule. The ninth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup, set to be played in Sri Lanka from July 19 to 28, will follow the T20 format. This tournament provides Asian teams with an opportunity to experiment and fine-tune their squads in preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup later this year.
Harmanpreet Kaur will be captaining the 15-member Indian team in the Women’s Asia Cup and Smriti Mandhana will share the glory as a vice-captain. The tournament will held by eight teams, divided into two groups of four. India takes the position of Group A, playing with Nepal, Pakistan, and UAE. They will begin the Asia Cup against Pakistan on July 19, then they will face UAE on July 21, and the final group match on July 23 against Nepal.
Two best-performing teams from each round will advance to the semifinals, with the final scheduled for July 28th. The competition will organized in Dambulla. In addition to the main squad, Indian selectors have announced four travelling reserves: Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh.

This event is not merely a means of competition but also an important preparation for the forthcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup later this year.
