Aston Villa won the Champions League 2024-25 match against Bayern 1-0, owing to its incredible defense and goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who made several saves for the team.
The English side held back the Bundesliga team with its dominance and control over the ball. Bayern has had a great hold of the game but lost out on goals given the saves made by Villa’s Martinez. The first half was scoreless.
But Aston Villa came back stronger and determined in the second half. Jhon Duran scored the goal for Aston Villa in 10 minutes of the game. Harry Kane of the opponent team Bayern Munich tried for an equalizer but Martinez thumped it away.

Aston Villa Has Six Points
Unai Emery, Aston Villa’s manager, hailed the win saying the important thing is how the team competed prepared the gameplay, and transmitted their energy to the supporters. “We tried to create a great atmosphere and it was a moment I want to live and I can enjoy it.”
Emery highlighted that Aston Villa has six points, but the team still has six matches and 18 points to play for. Villa faces Bologna next. “We have to focus on preparing the next match on Sunday and we have to perform consistently,” he said.
