Alexis Mac Allister, who plays as a midfielder for Liverpool, is adamant to play in the Argentina squad despite a recent groin injury which he sustained in the match between Liverpool and Crystal Palace.
He is keen to play with Argentina in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in Venezuela. But before Mac Allister joins, he is to undergo an injury assessment. Arne Slot, Liverpool’s manager, confirmed that the star midfielder went off due to an injury. He said it’s difficult for him to judge as to how bad Mac Allister’s injury is. Slot highlighted that the Argentine footballer could have continued playing but stopped just before half-time.
The Liverpool boss pointed out that Mac Allister felt it a bit too much and doesn’t think it’s too good to keep on playing because one never knows, it might get worse. Slot said the footballer sustained an injury in the groin area.
