Kurt Zouma is a french professional footballer who plays as a center-back for the English Premier League club West Ham United. He is 27 years old and was formerly the main team player of Chelsea FC before joining their London rivals in 2021.

Kurt Zouma was born and brought up in the French city of Lyon. He started playing football at the age of 9 and he played at Vaulx-en-Velin till the age of 15. He was initially a winger and a striker before switching to his current role as a central defender.
Zouma joined Ligue 1 club Saint Etienne in 2011 and soon progressed into the senior team. It was there that he impressed everyone with his performances and started to be scouted by teams from all over the world.
He was eventually signed by Chelsea in 2015. After a series of loan moves away from the club to Stoke City and Everton he finally got into the Blues’ main team in 2019. He stayed at the club for 3 more years before moving to West Ham United.

Kurt Zouma: News/ Recent Controversy
A few days ago, a video of Kurt Zouma abusing and kicking his pet cat went viral on social media and it led to a huge controversy. Many fans urged that some strict action be taken against the player.
As a result of the video, his cats were taken away from him by the RSPCA, he lost his sponsorship deal with Adidas and he was also fined £250,000 by West Ham and the money will be donated to Animal charities.
Although many fans even went to the extent of saying that the club should terminate its contract permanently, head coach David Moyes and even some other football pundits claim that that would be overkill. The incident is being further inquired about and it will be announced if any more steps will be taken against the footballer. In the meanwhile, Kurt Zouma has also issued a public apology for the incident.
