Paul Pogba, who has been embroiled in a doping controversy, is set to leave Juventus for Marseille when he returns to action in March. This news comes after his football ban was reduced to 18 months from four years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Pogba, 31, was slapped with a four-year suspension in September 2023 by the Italian Anti-Doping Organization after he failed an anti-doping test. According to FIFA guidelines, footballers who violate the anti-doping regulations get a suspension ranging from two years to four years.
The French midfielder said he had unknowingly breached the rule by taking a nutritional supplement that was prescribed by the doctor.

Paul Pogba Keen To Start New Chapter
With Pogba to resume training in January, Juventus wants to part ways with the footballer. Given the doping controversy and his absence from football, the Italian club said Pogba is a great player but has been out of action for a long time.
Juventus coach Thiago Motta said Pogba hasn’t played for a long time. The footballer’s contract expires in 2026, but Juventus wants to let him go, by mutual consent, as soon as possible. Maurizio Scnavino, Juventus boss, said they are in talks for the midfielder and his camp to find a solution and leave.
Pogba acknowledged his difficult phase but is adamant about turning over a new page. And French club Marseille are keen to rope him in. Reports say Pogba is already in advanced talks with Marseille and will don the club’s colors in 2025.
