It was an intense and dramatic match between Luton Town and Plymouth Argyle on Friday evening with the Plymouth-based team winning 3-1. Tahith Chong sustained a head injury a few minutes before the halftime when he was struck in the head while contesting a header in the penalty area.
The Luton winger fell to the ground and lay motionless. The medical team got into action and treated Chong, 24, who walked off the field with a visible swelling on the head. Luton informed the team’s fans and followers through a tweet that Tahith could walk to the dressing room.
Plymouth Argyle Gave Luton Town a Good Run
Plymouth Argyle got its first goal just eight minutes into the game when Rami Al Hajj sent the ball smashing into the edge of the box. It claimed its second and third goals with substitute Ibrahim Cissoko.
Argyle would have had its fourth goal but Luton Town’s Michael Obafemi knocked off the shot just in time. Luton Town missed out on several opportunities to score, but kept up the defense. And Argyle’s goalkeeper Dan Grimshaw was on his toes keeping Luton Town at bay.

Plymouth Argyle Put Up a Great Game Against Luton Town
Wayne Mark Rooney, manager of Plymouth Argyle, is very pleased with how his side played. He said it was a good performance. Argyle controlled the tempo of the game in the first half and Luton pressed in the second, but the Plymouth team played through it putting the opponent more under pressure.
Rooney acknowledged that the second half was sloppy but Argyle’s center-backs gave Luton Town a good run. He said Luton is very good at set pieces, and the boys defended them well and showed great character and desire to go and head the ball. Rooney applauded Rami’s great finish in the first half and Cissoko’s two goals.
