STRENGTH
With a star-studded batting line-up having players such as David Malan, Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Johny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, etc., they have one of the best batting line-ups compared to all the teams. These players are powerful hitters who can torment the bowling attack easily. David Malan is a new sensation, and he will play a vital role in setting the innings for England.
One more advantage which they have is the fact that they bat very deep. Moeen Ali, Mark Wood, Tom Curran these players are all a no-brainer with the bat. They can play the long handle hitting the ball with enough power. This will be an added advantage for England.

WEAKNESS
It is not easy to point out any major weakness of such as powerful team. But one thing which they lack is an experience in the fast bowling unit. Bowlers such as Tymal Mills, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, etc are not very experienced. This can backfire on the team in crucial matches. And the second thing is that English captain Eoin Morgan is totally out of form.
There is an added pressure in a world cup, and at times, we have seen inexperienced bowlers get carried away by the hype and pressure of performance. England will have to make sure that their bowling attack delivers on crucial moments of the game. Any negligence on their part can hamper their chance of winning the world cup.

OPPORTUNITIES
What can be the weakness for England can also be an opportunity for them. We all know that the pace attack is young and lacks experience playing in ICC events. But if they manage to hold their nerves and bowl with a free mind, they can be very lethal. Chris Jordan and Mark Wood can generate a lot of paces and bounce from the track.
These two bowlers who will lead the inexperienced bowling attack can be a massive weapon for England. The spin attack in Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid can also help them as they have more experience playing in ICC events.
THREAT
England is placed in group A, also called the group of death, with three other big teams such as Australia, South Africa, and West Indies. This will mean only the top 2 two will qualify for the semi-final. England cannot take any team lightly, as all these teams can defeat them on any given day. So, it becomes essential for England to play good cricket and try to win each game to reach the knockout stage and then win the trophy this year.
