The ICC Hall of Fame and Class of 2024 inducted Three Cricketers: AB de Villiers, Alastair Cook, and Neetu David are the three to receive this honor.
De Villiers represented South Africa in 114 Test matches, 228 ODIs, and 78 T20Is. Known for his explosiveness and ability to switch across all three formats, there is hardly a way to de Villiers that does not leave a record in history books. For instance, he once held the fastest record for the most ODI centuries, while in his professional career spanning over two decades, he got more than 20,000 runs in total.
This is what Virat Kohli said on De Villiers – “A lot of players can have impressive numbers but very few have an impact on the psyche of those watching. For me, that is the highest value you can have as a cricketer and that is what makes you so special”.
Alastair Cook was once the most prolific Test-opening batsman and has scored over 12,000 runs in 161 matches. Cook was England’s captain, who led the nation to the 2010-2011 Ashes Series and won back the 2012 series played in India. He also holds the record for playing the most number of test matches in a row.

Neetu David, an Indian cricketer, became the second Indian woman to receive the honor. Neetu David, a left-arm spinner, played a crucial role as one of the main bowlers in the Indian team, who claimed a total of 141 ODI wickets, the second most of any Indian woman cricketer.
The legacy they created is quite remarkable, and the ICC honored them during an event in Dubai with a Hall of Fame.
