World Test Championship (WTC) 2023: How Can Team India Qualify For The Final. The second edition of World Test Championship final is scheduled to take place at The Oval in June 2023. WTC 2 started on 4 August 2021 with the India tour of England for 5 test matches series. Team India will play 4 Test matches against Australia at home from February 9 to March 13.
In the upcoming home series, India has a good chance of qualifying for the WTC 2023 finals if they beat Australia by 3-1. Australia has almost reached the WTC final but would want to win at least one test match in the Indian subcontinent. while this will be India’s last chance to reach the final of the World Test Championship final.

How Can Team India Qualify For WTC Final ?
Currently, team India is in the 2nd position with 58.93 PCT in the WTC points table after cleanly sweeping the test series against Bangladesh. If they win one out of four matches, the PCT will be 51.39. If India wins two, their PCT will be 56.9, and 62.5 if they win three test matches against Australia.
Team India will have to win at least three (3-1) out of the four matches against Australia to ensure that Rohit Sharma-led team India is in the WTC final for the second consecutive time.
However, if Kangaroos do lose all four matches, their PCT will come down to 59.6. Team Australia losing all four matches will mean Team India earns 48 points from the series and it will send their PCT to 68.05, which means men in blue will automatically qualify for the World Test Championship final.
If India loses to Australia by 0-4, they will be eliminated from WTC 2023.
