The stage is set for real cricket as the Virat Kohli-led team India takes on England in the first Test at Nottingham in Trent Bridge starting from today (August 4). Kohli, who has struggled to be among the runs in foreign soil for the past few matches, will be eager to put his best foot forward and get some useful runs on the board for the Team as well as the country.

Kohli’s last Test century was against Bangladesh in the Day/Night Test in Eden Garden’s Kolkata in November 2019.

If Virat Kohli makes 258 runs in England’s tour it will take him to 2000 runs, and he will surpass Rahul Dravid’s tally of 1950 against England.
Team India’s Sri Lanka tour captain The wall Rahul Dravid & Tendulkar have made seven centuries each against England. Kohli has five tones against the English team and if he makes three more, will go past the legendary duo.
If Kohli makes a hundred in the first Test against England, he would break Australia’s Ricky Ponting’s huge record of being the captain with most international hundreds.
