The popularity of PSL can be stated by the fact that a lot of foreign players who are a part of IPL, also feature in the PSL. If we talk about the performance of foreign players in PSL, few players are not able to perform the way they do in the IPL.

4 Players Who Did Well In IPL but Failed in PSL
Andre Russell
When we talk about IPL, there is no one as destructive as Andre Russell. He has the highest strike rate of 179.29 in the IPL. Coming in the middle-order to bat, Russel has scored 1680 runs in 89 matches. However, he has failed to perform in PSL.
Having represented Multan Sultan and Islamabad, Russel has scored just 134 runs in 13 matches. His average in PSL is a mere 12.18 which is almost 60% less than his IPL average of 29.47.

Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle is one of the most experienced t20 cricketers across the globe. When we talk about the highest run-scorer in t20 history, the batsmen with most sixes, the batsmen with most fours, we always find Chris Gayle among the top 3.
Gayle has played 140 IPL matches, scoring 4950 runs at an average of 40,24 and a strike rate close to 150. He has also scored 6 centuries in the IPL. Such has been his class in IPL that he is one of the attractions.

However, his PSL record is below IPL standards. Gayle has represented Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators. In 16 matches, Gayle has scored just 370 runs at an average of 23.12.
He has scored 2 half-centuries and has failed to hit a single century. Chris Gayle’s record in PSL is not something he will be too proud of.

Dwayne Bravo
One of the great all-rounders currently playing cricket, Dwayne Bravo is a veteran in T20 format. Bravo has appeared in 144 matches in IPL and has taken a total of 156 wickets. While batting, he has amassed 1510 runs at an average of 22.87.
In PSL, Dwayne Bravo has represented Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. In 14 PSL matches, Bravo has taken just 11 wickets. He managed to score just 134 runs at an average of 14.89.

Moeen Ali
Moeen Ali has evolved as one of the finest all-rounders in recent time. He has played for RCB and CSK for a total of 25 matches. In these matches, Ali has scored 515 runs at an average of 24.52. His strike rate of 157.97 is also one of the best.
In PSL, Moeen Ali has represented Multan Sultan for just 9 matches, scoring a mere 138 runs. His strike rate is PSL is also just 107.
