Head-to head CSK VS DC
Total of 23 matches have been played by Chennai super kings and Delhi capitals till date. Out of the 23 matches, CSK has won 15 matches while DC has managed to win only 8 matches. The season 2016 and 2017 did not feature CSK in the IPL.
- Strength and weakness:
- Chennai super king’s:
Strength:
The strength of Mumbai Indians has been their experience and quality all-rounders. The likes of MS Dhoni, Faf Du plessis, Suresh Raina, Imran tahir etc bring in a lot of experience to the side. During the close matches, it is the experience of these players to handle tough situations which makes CSK a very powerful side.
Chennai squad also have quality all rounders such as Ravindra Jadega, Dwane Bravo, Moin Ali, Sam curran etc who can provide a good balance to the side.
Weakness:
The most importance weakness of CSK has been their age factor. Many players are above 35 years old and sometimes the old legs may lead to being slow in the field and also reflexes as batsmen and bowlers also tend to reduce.
- Delhi Capitals:
Strength:
Delhi capitals have a team with some quality match winners. Rishabh Pant, Marcos Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Axar Patel, Rabada are players who on their given day can win the matches for the team single handily. These players made Delhi the side to beat in IPL 2021.
Weakness:
Delhi capitals lack a substitute wicket keeper apart from Rishabh Pant. At times when Rishabh Pant gets injured then they have to look for foreign players. This year Sam Billings has been included as a backup wicket keeper. But, him being a foreign player disturbs the balance of the side since each team can accommodate at maximum 4 foreign players in the side.
