IPL Auction 2022 Live Updates – TATA IPL 2022 Auction LIVE: Much awaited wait is going to be over. TATA IPL 2022 Auction is just a few hours away. The IPL Governing Council (GC) has decided to auction only 161 players out of 590 on Day 1 of the mega auction (report). The TATA IPL 2022 Auction will start on Saturday from 11 am onwards with 10 Marquee players that include the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, Shreyas Iyer, Kagiso Rabada, Ravichandran Ashwin, and 5 others to be sold 1st. All Marquee players are in 2 crores base price.

When & where the IPL 2022 auction will take place?
The IPL 2022 auction will take place in Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru from 11 am onwards
Those 10 players (marquee set) whose bid will be first in the auction
Shikhar Dhawan, Faf du Plessis, David Warner, Mohammad Shami, Kagiso Rabada, Ravichandran Ashwin Trent Boult, Pat Cummins, Shreyas Iyer & Quinton De Kock.
What will be the auction process? In which sequence players will be auctioned?
The auction will begin with the auction of 10 marquee set players. Other than this all 580 players have been divided into different sets based on their specialty. The marquee set will be followed by a full round of capped players based on specialization – batters, allrounders, wicketkeeper-batters, fast bowlers, and spin bowlers
IPL 2022 Auction Day 2: Uncapped players will be the last set of players in the mega auction sequence.

Can IPL franchise use RTM Card?
Not unlike the last mega auction in 2018, the IPL governing council has decided not to have the Right To Match option this time.

The youngest player in IPL 2022 mega auction is a left-arm spinner from Afghanistan’s 17-year-old Noor Ahmad.
The oldest player in the auction is 42 years old South African cricket veteran Imran Tahir.
