5 Foreign Players Who Could Be Benefited From The Addition Of Two New Teams
CHRIS LYNN
Chris Lynn is one of the most destructive opening batsmen across the globe. He was a part of KKR for 7 seasons. In 2020, KKR released Chris Lynn and he was purchased by Mumbai Indians. But due to the MI team combination, he was unable to play a single game in 2020.
In this year’s IPL, Lynn has played just one match for Mumbai. With the possible addition of two new teams, Chris can be a great addition as an opener. His explosive batting can provide a solid platform to the team.

JOE ROOT
It has been a huge surprise seeing England star batsman Joe Root not getting picked in a single IPL edition. The main reason is his not-so-good strike rate. But in the IPL, some players play the role of an anchor batsmen.
The same can be attributed to Root. He can be picked by the new franchise where he can play the role of an anchor batsman in the middle order.
A player with a strike rate of 120-130 in the T20 can also be considered good depending on the match situation. He can even be made the captain of the new IPL team.

LOCKIE FERGUSON
Kiwi pace bowler Lockie Ferguson is a part of the KKR squad. He has played 3 seasons in the IPL. Due to the team combination and the maximum of 4 foreign players allowed in the playing X1, he has got very few opportunities.
Ferguson extracts a lot of paces and bounces from the wicket. He is a regular member of the playing X1 for New Zealand. 2022 IPL might change the fortunes for Lockie if he gets picked by any new franchise.

NATHAN COULTER-NILE
Australian pace bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile has found himself warming the bench for most of the last two IPL seasons. He is regarded as one of the best t20 bowlers, but ironically, has failed to cement his place in the playing XI.
The Nile can take the pace of the bowl during the death overs. He can be very handy with his off-cutters. The new IPL franchise would look at buying Coulter to make their pace attack strong.
