Indian Premier League 2022 will kickstart on 26th March. The first match of TATA IPL 2022 will be played between CSK & KKR at Wankhede. All the 10 franchises have purchased their desired players, keeping in mind the team combination they need to have. The role of openers is of paramount importance in a T20 game. They lay the foundation stone for the middle-order to capitalize. Let us look at the expected opening combination of all the 10 teams (CSK, MI, DC, SRH, LSG, GT, RR, RCB, KKR & PBKS) participating in the IPL 2022.
All teams are ready with their squad for the tournament which is going to start on 26th March at Wankhede.

IPL 2022 Predicted Opening Combination Of All 10 Teams
CHENNAI SUPER KINGS- Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Convey
We expect Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Convey to open the proceedings for CSK. While Ruturaj can accelerate from the word go, Devon Convey can play second fiddle for Ruturaj. Both the left and the right-hand combination should be the perfect option for CSK.

MUMBAI INDIANS- Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan
Mumbai Indians purchased Ishan Kishan at an astonishing price of 15.25 crores. Given his aggressive batting ability, the MI team management would like to make him start the innings. Rohit Sharma is the automatic first choice for the opening slot. If both these players play aggressive cricket, it will give Mumbai the much-needed firepower at the top.
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE- Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli
There is no brainer that Virat Kohli will be the first choice opener for RCB. They purchased Faf du Plessis, who has been one of the most successful openers in IPL history. He will most likely company Kohli at the top of the order and look to provide a solid start.

DELHI CAPITALS- Prithvi Shaw, David Warner
Delhi Capitals managed to purchase David Warner at a very nominal price of 6.25 crore. Given his ability to play both fearless and calm cricket, he will most likely accompany Prithvi Shaw at the top of the order. Prithvi Shaw can tear the bowling from the word go. If these two fire at the top for DC, they are in for a huge score.
PUNJAB KINGS- Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Dhawan
Punjab Kings purchased Shikhar Dhawan in the IPL 2022 mega auction. Given his consistency at the top of the order over the years, he will surely be one of the openers for Punjab. Mayank Agarwal will be the second choice as an opener for Punjab Kings.

RAJASTHAN ROYALS- Yashashvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal, one of the most successful openers in the last 2 years, will surely bat at the top of the order for Rajasthan Royals. To accompany him will be the retained player for RR Yashashvi Jaiswal. These two young batsmen can score with a brisk pace and get Rajasthan Royals to a good start in the IPL 2022.
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS- Venkatesh Iyer, Alex Hales
Alex Hales, regarded among the most dangerous batsman of the T20 format, will most likely open the innings for KKR, along with the find of the season 2021 Venkatesh Iyer. These two players can go after the bowling attack from the first over.
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD- Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathy
Aiden Markram and Rahul Tripathy, the two right-handed batsmen, can be seen opening the innings for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2022. Rahul Tripathy is an explosive batsman, and so is Aiden Markram. Both of them can complement each other at the top of the order for KKR.

There is no brainer in speculating the openers for Lucknow Supergiants. KL Rahul, among the most prolific batsman, will open the innings with the South African wicket-keeper opener, Quinton de Kock.
