IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) To Part Ways With Mike Hesson And Sanjay Bangar- Reports. According to an Indian Express report, Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has parted ways with head coach Sanjay Bangar and director of cricket operations Mike Hesson before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. RCB management will now go on a hunt to choose a new Director and coach for their team.
Even though it is said that Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar have a good bond with veteran players like Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, they have decided to dismiss both of them from their positions. Former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson and former Indian batsman Sanjay Bangar were giving their services to Royal Challengers Bangalore for the past five years. RCB Bowling Coach Adam Griffith’s future with the Franchise is also up in the air.
RCB finished sixth in the recently concluded TATA IPL 2023. Out of 14 league matches, the team won 7 and lost the same. In the last 16 seasons, Royal fails to win a single IPL title. From time to time they changed their coaching staff but all efforts goes in vain.
