IPL 2025: Dale Steyn Revealed That He Won’t Return As Bowling Coach For SRH: South African legend pacer Dale Steyn has finally confirmed he will not return as bowling coach to Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2025. Steyn took up the role in 2022 and was instrumental in molding SRH’s young bowling talents, under whom the emerging fast bowler Umran Malik earned.
SRH now finds itself at a stage where it needs another bowling coach to reconstruct its unit and coaching staff. According to reports, Steyn has left owing to personal reasons and sought a break during the Indian Premier League 2024.
He did much more than just being the coach for Steyn; he made the bowling arsenal of Sunrisers Hyderabad competitive. He gave the proper development to young talents who were capable of facing the demands of the IPL. His experience, if he possesses any as one of the finest fast bowlers across the world, speaks miles for making SRH’s pace bowling attack stiff.

SRH also has an eye on keeping some significant players, including Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma, and Pat Cummins. They would most likely take the team forward. SRH would try to upgrade their bowling division because it lagged behind this season. Steyn’s leaving is part of that addition to the list of changes in the franchise with regards to coaching and the line-up of players.
