The BCCI has scheduled the IPL 2025 Mega Auction on November 24th and 25th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After Jeddah and Dubai, Riyadh seems to be the most fitting option. Indeed, this move points to the growing appetite of the Kingdom for different sporting events around the world.
The ten franchises look to put together their teams for the 2025 edition of the tournament. As per the retention rules, where a maximum of six players can be retained. Retention of players will come with certain salary restrictions already outlined, with the top three players costing 18 crores, 14 crores, and 11 crores for the first three, respectively.
Teams have returned with ‘Right to Match’ (RTM) cards and the allowance of such cards enables teams to woo back players who are poised to leave for rival teams, and this will be beneficial, especially to star players. New players might be recruited to enhance their composition.
