IPL 2025: CSK And SRH Name Replacements For Injured Ruturaj Gaikwad And Adam Zampa: A key decision made in light of upcoming IPL 2025 matches has been a confirmation by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) of injured player replacements, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Adam Zampa. CSK named Ayush Mhatre as the replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad while SRH named Smaran Ravichandran in place of Adam Zampa.

CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out for the entire season due to an injury to his elbow. Seventeen-year-old Ayush Mhatre was called in as his replacement. The young and talented opener from Mumbai had already impressed CSK scouts in the pre-auction trials. Especially with some powerful impressions on legendary former captain MS Dhoni.

Mhatre is known for his exquisite strokeplay and maturity for his age. This is now the ticket for his extravagant talent to be on showcase in the biggest of IPL arenas. Filling the shoes of Gaikwad will surely not be an easy task.

On the other hand, SRH has announced Smaran Ravichandran as a replacement for Australian spinner Adam Zampa, who was ruled out of the season with an undisclosed injury. Ravichandran has earned himself a good reputation in domestic cricket with his effective leg-spin bowling and control during the middle overs. Thus, he is most likely to strengthen the spin department for SRH. This will be his first assignment in the IPL.
