IPL 2025: Mayank Yadav Set To Join LSG Squad Tomorrow. This week, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) set to welcome their speedster Mayank Yadav, who is nearly at full recovery after major stress on his back and toe, which prevented him from attending the first part of the IPL 2025 season.
The 22-year-old pacer, Mayank Yadav, was being rehabilitated at the High-Performance Center, Bengaluru, under BCCI for a lumbar stress injury he sustained following his debut for India in the T20I series against Bangladesh last October. After a rest period and a gradual increase in workload, he started bowling in March and has been steadily getting ready for match fitness.
Mayank Yadav To Return By This Week
With reports suggesting that he might rejoin the LSG squad by Tuesday, April 15. Yadav is waiting for final clearance from the medical team of the BCCI. A source in the know says he is doing well in the nets and showing signs of being ready for match play.
Zaheer Khan said, “It is very important to wait until he is fully fit to play.” “Although we want him playing this season of the IPL, we want him 150% fit, not just 100% fit. So we would leave no stone unturned to make that happen.”

This will surely add to the LSG’s bowling strengths, featuring Avesh Khan, Shardul Thakur, and Akash Deep. Yadav had impressed everyone in the last IPL with his sheer speed and took 7 wickets in 4 games. While also clocking the tournament’s fastest ball at 156.7 km/h.
Sitting pretty mid-table, LSG hopes to benefit from the aggression and pace Yadav would bring for a serious push for playoff spots, considering their mixed start to the campaign. They have a match later this week for which Yadav’s inclusion could provide that positive push.
