IPL 2025 Playoffs Qualification: 4 Teams Who Could Qualify: With IPL 2025 heating up, the playoff stage begins to shape up with Delhi Capitals (DC), Gujarat Titans (GT), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) set to come up as the leading contenders. All three—Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings—have never lifted the IPL trophy.

Delhi Capitals has been the team on the rise this season. They yield 5 out of 7 matches with merely 2 losses and simultaneously sit in second place on the points table with 10 points. Out of the remaining 7 matches, they have to win a total of 3 matches. Not overly failing to impress, they did, however, record a Super Over victory thanks to brilliant death bowling by Mitchell Starc against the Rajasthan Royals. As established, KL Rahul provisions in several chase anchors and starts with his critical bat. DC still has some challenging fixtures ahead, which include clashes against LSG (April 22), RCB (April 27), and KKR (April 29), which will put their depth and consistency to the test.

2. Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, look equally sharp and have completed 8 games with 6 wins and 2 losses. Top of the table now with 12 points and just require wins in two more matches of the remaining six.GT has shown good balance in all departments. Sai Sudarshan, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler have all been in amazing form at the top, and Sai Sudarshan is the orange cap holder. Their bowling attack is strong due to Prasidh Krishna’s ability to take wickets at important moments. GT has some important fixtures in the future at Rajasthan Royals (April 28), SRH (May 2), and MI (May 6), all of which would affect the playoff race.

3. Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have had a relatively good campaign so far, having played 9 matches, of which they have won 6 and lost 3, and find themselves in the 3rd position in the points table. They also need 3 wins out of 5 matches for qualification. But they are coming from a victory and would like to build momentum from that. Virat Kohli continues to lead from the front in that he’s been the main man for runs scored in RCB, and his form will be channeled if they are to consolidate their playoff spot. Remaining fixtures would prove crucial for them, Delhi Capitals (April 27), and CSK (May 3).

4. Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings, under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, got back into things beautifully after a shaky beginning. Fifth place in the points table and requiring 3 wins from their 6 matches, here they stand with 5 victories and 3 losses, with the most spectacular being a record-setting defense of the lowest total in IPL history against Kolkata Knight Riders. The match featured Yuzvendra Chahal in a starring role with figures of 4/28 and Shreyas Iyer contributed well with reasonably consistent runs. PBKS has upcoming games against KKR (April 26), CSK (April 30), and (May 4).
