IPL 2025 Points Table And Standings: SRH, RCB, CSK, PBKS, DC, LSG, KKR, MI, GT, RR. The IPL 2025 is in full swing with ten teams battling it out across 74 matches between March 22 to May 25, 2025. Following the exciting IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clinched their third Indian Premier League title. Following this season, the new home-and-away format returns with matches involving 13 venues across the country.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the first match by 7 wickets over Kolkata Knight Riders after chasing down a target of 175 runs in just 16.2 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad went on to post 286 runs for 6 against Rajasthan Royals—that’s the second-highest total in IPL history, set by Ishan Kishan’s unbeaten 106 runs from just 47 balls. Delhi Capitals had an exciting victory: they chased down 210 runs for a thrilling one-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants. As the tournament progresses, there’s more action that is set to spice up the points table.

IPL 2025 Tournament Format

The ten teams are separated into two groups of five. Each team plays 14 league matches—seven home and seven away games against opponents in its group once and members of the other group twice. The top four teams at the end of the league stage qualify for the playoffs in the following manner:

Qualifier 1: 1st position vs. 2nd position—winner advances into the final.
Eliminator: 3rd place vs. 4th place—loser gets eliminated.
Qualifier 2: Loser of Qualifier 1 and Winner of Eliminator—winner goes through to the final.
Final: Qualifier 1’s winner vs. Qualifier 2’s winner—the IPL 2025 champion.
