IPL 2025: Sanju Samson To Be Ruled Out

IPL 2025: Sanju Samson To Miss Next Match Against RCB. Rajasthan Royals’ fixtures against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 24 have suffered a major setback. As captain Sanju Samson is ruled out, officially from the match, because of an abdominal injury during their previous game against DC.

The franchise confirmed that Samson is currently undergoing recovery. He will remain at the team’s home base in Jaipur with some RR medical staff. Part of his ongoing rehabilitation process includes not travelling to Bengaluru for the upcoming match against RCB. The team management is closely monitoring his progress. They will take a case-by-case approach on when he would be available again.

Samson’s absence has already been felt during the recent narrow two-run defeat against Lucknow Super Giants. In that match, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi marked his debut by scoring 34 off 20 balls as an impact substitute. The same goes for Riyan Parag, who is expected to extend the stand, having captained the team in the earlier part of the season when Samson was out due to a thumb injury.

Rajasthan Royals, thus, having a poor position in the standings, need to recover soon as they now take on a mighty RCB in the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Since Sanju Samson is on recovery, whose leadership and batting talent are crucial to the campaign, RR need to strengthen their hopes of seeing him fit soon.
