Delhi Capitals entered the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of 73 crores. The four players retained from earlier squads comprise Axar Patel, who was retained for Rs 16.5 crore; Kuldeep Yadav, who was retained for Rs 13.25 crore; Tristan Stubbs, who was brought up for Rs 10 crore; and Abishek Porel, who cost Rs 4 crore.
With such selections at the auction, they have also made record buys such as Mitchell Starc at Rs 11.75 crores and KL Rahul for Rs 14 crores, while the latter is expected to lead the team. They bought Jake Fraser-McGurk for Rs 9 crore under the Right to Match clause, Harry Brook for Rs 6.25 crore, and T Natarajan for Rs 10.75 crore.
Other signings were valued as follows: Karun Nair for 0.50 cr, Sameer Rizvi for 0.95 cr, Ashutosh Sharma for 3.80 cr, and Mohit Sharma for 2.20 cr. On the second day of the auction, they signed Faf du Plessis for Rs 2 crores.
