ICC World Cup 2023: Full List Of Players Who Will Be Playing Their First ODI World Cup. The ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, the world’s largest cricketing tournament, is only two weeks away. Except for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, eight teams have announced their 1-member squad for the tournament.

The ODI World Cup will begin on October 5th, with New Zealand and England playing the first game. This event will include 48 matches over 10 different cities in India. The top four teams from the round robin will proceed to the semi-finals, and the winner of the semi-finals will face off for the championship game on November 19th.

Every squad appears to be balanced and difficult, even though each roster has a mix of experienced and inexperienced players. However, experienced players are already well-known across the world, and certain players who will be competing in their first World Cup will be discussed here.

Players Who Will Be Playing Their First ODI World Cup

India

India is a strong candidate for the World Cup in 2023. On September 5th, they announced the squad. Rohit Sharma is captain, and Hardik is the vice captain. With a combination of experienced and inexperienced players, the squad appears to be dangerous. Virat is the most experienced player, while others are making their debut.

Players that will debut: Shubhman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Shreyash Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav, Mohd Siraj

Australia

Australia is the most successful team in the history of the One-Day International World Cup. With 5 trophies in its cabinet, Australia is capable of winning any ICC tournament at any stage in the team’s history.

The Kangaroos appear dangerous this time as well, with Pat Cummins guiding a side that includes some of the best players in the globe. They will also have some players competing in their first World Cup.

Players that will debut: Sean Abott, Ashton Agar, Cameron Green Travis Head, Josh Englis

Afghanistan

Afghanistan is the most recent Asian side to compete in World Cups; this is their third regular World Cup appearance, and they are one of the most rapidly growing teams in recent years. Despite the fact that this squad has never participated in an ICC knockout tournament, they have the ability to do so. This club does not have a large number of experienced players, but they do have some promising young players.

Players that will debut: Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Riaz Hassan,  Ikram Alikhil, Azmatullah Omarzai,  Noor Ahmad, Abdul Rahman, Naveen ul Haq, Fazalhaq Farooqi

Pakistan

the number one ODI team Pakistan’s team was officially published, and its standout bowler Naseem Shah has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury. The side is led by Babar Azam, and they appear to be lethal. Pakistan has a lengthy roster of players that will compete in their first World Cup.

Players that will debut: Abdullah Shafique , Saud Shakeel, Salman Ali Agha, Usama Mir, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim, Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz

England

The defending World Cup winner has already announced the roster and is looking strong once again. Ben Stokes, the World Cup 2019 hero, returns from his ODI retirement for this tournament, and England is once again one of the top challengers for the World Cup.

Players that will debut: Gus Atkisnson, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Harry Brooks, Reece Topley, David Willey, Dawid Malan

New Zealand

The Kiwis are also among the top four chances of winning the World Cup. They recently announced their lineup, and the runner-ups from the last two World Cups may prevail this time. Kane Williamson made a remarkable recovery after a knee injury, and Trent Boult returned to ODIs after missing a year.

Players that will debut: Mark Chapman, Devon Conway,  Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Will Young

South Africa

In terms of ICC trophies, South Africa is regarded as one of the unluckiest teams. In the history of the World Cup, the Proteas have always choked in crucial matches. Sa has announced the team, and many veteran players are missing. Aiden Markram’s side just won a home series against Australia, which will be a great boost for them before the World Cup.

The Netherlands performed a miracle in World Cup Qualifiers 2023, qualifying for the World Cup after a 12-year absence. They revealed the team, and it appears that every member of that team is competing in their first World Cup.
