BCCI Announces Team India Squad For 1st Test vs Bangladesh: Pant, KL Rahul Is Back. The Bangladesh Test series against India is set to kick off on September 19. BCCI announced the Indian team squad. Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the captain of this team, while one of its biggest attractions is perhaps Rishabh Pant’s return after he recovered from injury. Dhruv Jurel was included as an alternative wicketkeeper after having conducted himself admirably during past games.
In terms of skill set, this Indian line-up has been favorable and balanced about both age and experience. During the opening session, Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Shubman Gill is likely to be at the crease while Kohli-Rahul-Khan will be handling the middle order batting, with some circumstances throwing them into action alongside rising star Sarfaraz.

Jasprit Bumrah, returning from a break, will lead the pace department, which consists of Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, and Akash Deep. Indian selectors are hoping to reproduce spin-friendly conditions similar to those in India.
Consequently, the squad comprises four spinners: Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav. This series is important as India aims to strengthen its position in the World Test Championship (WTC 2025) standings.
