BCCI Central Contract 2025: Kohli, Rohit Retained in A+; Shreyas Iyer To Return| Reports. According to some reports, The BCCI is ready with its central contracts for the 25-26 season, characterizing these few developments for our cricket lovers. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will remain in the highest grade of the BCCI central contracts, the A+ category, giving them the retainers of ₹7 crore per annum. This shows that the two players are still in very high demand.

Shreyas Iyer Return to BCCI Central Contracts

Another middle-order batsman, Shreyas Iyer, would thus, it seems, return to central contracts. Not long ago, for not playing in any domestic matches, Iyer was disqualified from the contract. Iyer would secure a Grade ‘A’ central contract generally deserving of all achievements in most quarters in domestic. He was the highest run-getter (243 runs in 5 innings) in the Champions Trophy in 2025 in India colors. This adds to the list with his leadership of Punjab Kings in the IPL.

New Entrants: Varun Chakravarthy and Others

Varun Chakravarthy, who’s represented as a “mystery spinner,” will receive a central contract as one of the new appointees. Chakravarthy was the highest wicket-taker for India in Champions Trophy 2025. He put in noteworthy performances, just like all-rounders Nitish Kumar Reddy and Abhishek Sharma, on the same list that will wait at the same table for the announcement of contracts.

Ishan Kishan’s Status Uncertain

The wicketkeeper-batter from Jharkhand, Ishan Kishan, remains questionable. He was unpublished from the former central contracts list, and as long as discussions continue, no resolution has been reached concerning placing him in the ensuing season’s pool of players.

It is a matter of considerable interest that a BCCI meeting that was supposed to be held on March 29 in Guwahati, and where all these contracts would have been fine-tuned along with the essential discussion on national preps for the tour of England, had to be scrapped, for they decided to postpone and delay the announcements further.

With the BCCI giving thought to these contracts, the cricketing community is very much organized in anticipation of the official verification that goes with this.
