BCCI Is Considering IPL 2025 Mega Auction Venue In Saudi Cities: There are plans to make the mega auction of IPL 2025 in Saudi Arabia, preferably in Riyadh or Jeddah. If this were to happen, it would be the first time that a major IPL event is held in that country considering the Board’s aspirations of taking the league to the next level in terms of global outreach. The exact destination is still not verified. The auction is most likely to take place in the last week of November 2024.
It is preferred that the event takes place in other venues other than the usual suspects, like India and Dubai. Dubai, which hosted the IPL auction in 2023, is still the secondary choice. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is becoming an emerging place in the hosting of sporting activities, hence the above-considered bargain.
