BCCI Increased Emphasis on Fitness
The BCCI declared it further intended to emphasize strict fitness standards for Indian players. All senior players are required to be involved in domestic cricket whenever they are not on international duty. Those whose cases cannot allow participation due to workload management must seek approval from the head coach and chief selector. Test specialists are required to play at least one or two matches in the Duleep Trophy in preparation for a Test Series. The meeting also discussed important leadership positions in the Indian team. Rohit Sharma would continue as captain of the Indian team at least until the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.
