BCCI Set to Appoint a New Batting Coach for Team India| Report: According to some reports BCCI is considering the appointment of a specialist batting coach to be included in the Indian men’s cricket team support staff. Following a series of poor performances on the batting front, particularly in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series, in which the Indian team lost to Australia 1-3.

Currently, the roster is occupied by Gautam Gambhir as head coach. Morne Morkel as bowling coach, Abhishek Nayar, and Ryan ten Doeschate as assistant coaches. The glaring gap here, the batting coach, has been raised by many cricket analysts and former players. Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was the first to comment on not having a batting coach during Gambhir’s tenure.

BCCI Explores Addition of Batting Coach to Strengthen Team India’s Lineup
