Champions Trophy 2025: ICC Issues PCB Ultimatum Over Hosting Rights: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given a 24-hour ultimatum for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to give a nod or deny the proposed model for carrying out the Champions Trophy 2025. In the proposed hybrid mode, matches between India and the final would take place in Dubai. All others would be played in Pakistan.
The ICC assures PCB that in that arrangement, they would retain hosting rights for Pakistan. That includes all the benefits of such arrangements. In case PCB denies this proposal, ICC shall shift the tournament to some neutral venue. With South Africa and the UAE being likely alternatives.
