Emerging Asia Cup 2023: Details, Group, Schedule and India A Squad: The fifth ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup is set to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from July 13 to July 23. The hopes are very high as India Women A just took home the first Women Emerging Asia Cup.
There will be 8 teams participating in this tournament, which will be contested in the ODI format. Starting on July 14, there will be a total of 15 games played in the tournament through July 23.
The squad for this cup has been announced by BCCI on 4 July, and preparations are going well. Yash Dhull, the country’s under-19 World Cup champion from 2022, will lead the squad. While Abhishek Sharma will act as his Vice – Captain.
Following an outstanding last IPL season with Gujarat Titans, Tamil Nadu’s Sai Sudharshan has also been named to the team. Pradosh Ranjan Paul, a colleague from his state, also located a space.
India A will face UAE A to kick off their campaign on 13th July while On July 15, Pakistan A will be their opponent for the second round, and on July 18, Nepal will be the opponent for the final group stage encounter. The Semi final of the tounament will be played on 21st july and the Final on 23rd
Pakistan U23 currently holds the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup title. Pakistan U23 won the 2019 event by defeating Bangladesh U23 in the final by 77 runs. Sri Lanka has won twice in the last four seasons (2017, 2018). Whereas India has won once (2013 – inaugural event) and Pakistan has won once (2019).

The five Asian countries that participate in Test matches will field their A teams, while Oman, Nepal, and the UAE will play with their complete squads. The teams are split into two groups.
Group A: Bangladesh A, Oman, Afghanistan A, Sri Lanka
Group B: India A, UAE A, Nepal, Pakistan A
