England All Rounder Moeen Ali Retires From All Format Of International Cricket: Moeen Ali, all-rounder for England, has bid farewell to international cricket by announcing his retirement. After recently participating in the 2024 CPL, Ali made it official by making this announcement. He was one of the key members of England’s team across all formats. His retirement brings to the end of a cricket career that spanned over 10 years.
 
Earlier on, Moeen Ali had opted out of Test matches in 2021; however, he was persuaded back during Ashes 2023 due to Jack Leach’s injury. Although there was no question about whether his form was impressive enough, Ali confirmed that he would not pursue further test matches and, as such, has finally decided to retire from every kind of international cricket after giving it some serious thought.

Moeen was known for his versatility as a batting all-rounder and his ability to deliver crucial off spin throughout his career. He participated in 68 Tests, scoring over 3000 runs and taking 204 wickets. In One Day Internationals, Ali helped England during their victory at the 2019 World Cup. He played 138 ODIs where he scored more than 2300 runs and claimed 111 wickets. He was also included in the 2022 T20 World Cup-winning team because of his overall all-rounder skills with bat and ball.

In reflection on his career, Ali expressed thanks to his teammates, coaches, and fans who have supported him throughout the years. The end of an era for English cricket has come with his retirement as they say goodbye to one of their best all-rounders. Moeen Ali will be sorely missed, but we will remember him forever.
