ICC Rankings: Evergreen James Anderson Crowned As No 1 Test Bowler In ICC Rankings, Ravindra Jadeja Enters In Top-10. 40 years veteran English pacer James Anderson has become the No.1 Test bowler in the latest MRF worldwide ICC Men’s test bowlers rankings. With the Numero Uno ranking the evergreen English bowler ended Australia skipper Pat Cummins’ four-year reign as the top-ranked Test bowler. James Anderson made his test debut on 22 May 2003 against Zimbabwe

James Anderson clinch the top spot because of his seven-wicket haul for England during their emphatic 267-run mammoth victory over New Zealand in the Mount Maunganui test last week. It is the sixth time that James Anderson becomes the No 1 test bowler in the ICC Test rankings.

The right-arm pacer first touched the heights back in May 2016 when he went past teammate Stuart Broad and Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin to hold the top ICC rankings.

Indian Players In The Latest ICC Men’s Test Rankings

Men in blue also received a boost following their emphatic victory over tourists Australia, with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja moving up from 7th to the ninth position following his seven-wicket haul in the second innings of the Delhi test. Axar Patel, who has scored 158 runs so far – is the second leading run-scorer in India vs Australia series moving up two places to fifth on the latest Test all-rounder rankings.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin have been instrumental in team India retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 for the fourth consecutive time in their ongoing four-match Test series against Australia.

R Jadeja has taken 17 wickets and Ashwin 14 in just four innings in the ongoing BGT 2023. Ravindra Jadeja has taken two 5-wicket hauls and R Ashwin has picked one so far in the series. Axar Patel has had little to do with the ball and has taken just one wicket.
