ICC WTC Standings 2023-25: Pakistan On Top After 2nd Test Between India vs West Indies Drawn. India vs West Indies 2nd test ended drawn due to continuous rain on the fifth day at Port Of Spain. On the fifth day, the visiting team needed 8 wickets to win and the hosts needed 289 runs to equal the series. The target was huge considering the poor form of the West Indies players. But the rain saved the team and 4 points were also found in the WTC 2023-25 points table.
Team India started their WTC 2023-25 cycle against the West Indies tour. They beat Carlos Brathwaite-led Caribbean team in the first test by an innings and 141 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a magnificent 171 runs in their test debut and was adjudged Man of the Match.
The Indian team completely dominated the hosts in the second Test as well. With Virat Kohli’s classy 28th test century and Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin’s half centuries guest team scored a mammoth total of 438 on the scoreboard. They stopped host on 255 with Mohammad Siraj’s splendid fifer.
This is the second consecutive day when a team kept on winning the match due to rain. Rain washed out play on the final day of the fourth Ashes Test yesterday, leaving England unable to level the series.
Now Team India will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is against West Indies. After that the men in Blue will be seen in the Asia Cup 2023. It is worth noting that India will play the next test match after 5 months on the South Africa tour.
