IND vs AUS 2nd Test Match Highlights: Australia Levels Series in Pink-Ball Clash: Australia made a comeback with a convincing win against India in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Adelaide Oval, leveling the series at 1-1. The pink-ball Test, known for its trials and tests, featured bright performances from Travis Head and the bowling cellar of Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc.

India won the toss and opted to bat first but could not build a rhythm. With Mitchell Starc taking the lead, the Australian bowlers exploited the conditions to the fullest, so well thatthey could leave India languishing at 180 in the first innings. Late resistance by Nitish Kumar Reddy provided some respectability to the score. Starc, with his six-wicket haul, proved his magic form.

Overview of Day 2 and Day 3

Australia set the pace well in their first innings to deny India a lead of 157. It was a heavenly innings from Travis Head, who scored a match-winning century. Marnus also put up an associated score along with Nathan McSweeney that frustrated Indian bowlers.

The prospect of an inspiring second innings for India fell apart, well and truly before the relentless pace attack of Australia could make its voice heard. Cummins continued his bright spell, taking five wickets, backed up by Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland. The Indian middle order, having Rishabh Pant (28) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (42), could do little against the Aussie onslaught and added just 175 runs in total.

Australia Wins on Day 3 by 10 wickets

Chasing down a mere 19 runs for glory, the Aussies finished the test on the early day of the third without being dismissed. In contrast to their justifiably lost First Test, they clearly showed their intentions here while Travis Head was named Player of the match for his superb batting show as he swayed the game towards Australia.

The series moves to Brisbane for the third test at the Gabba on December 14. For India, it will be crucial to get down to batting issues and recover in order to shift momentum back to their side.
