IND vs BAN 3rd T20I: India’s Record 297 Runs Helps Bangladesh Clean Sweep: India achieved a resounding victory against Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I, having a massive margin of 133 runs and sealing a series whitewash with a 3-0 win. Sanju Samson scored a scintillating 111 in just 47 balls helping India post a huge total of 297/6, their highest-ever T20I score.
While doing so, this inning crossed many landmarks, along with the highest T20I total scored by a Test-playing nation and the total number of boundaries (47) scored in a T20I innings. Hardik Pandya was awarded player of the series.
The innings of Samson comprised 11 fours and 8 sixes, sharing an astonishing 173 runs for the 3rd wicket with Suryakumar Yadav smashed 75 off just 31 balls. India’s aggressive batting saw them score more than 10 runs in 18 out of the possible 20 overs, creating a new record for the most number of overs bowled with 10 runs or more scored in a T20I.
In response, tension ensued, and the Bangladesh chase weakened almost at the outset. Although there was some fightback from Litton Das and Mahmudullah, the innings folded for 164. The bowlers who stood out were Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakaravarthy, who picked important wickets.

Samson’s fifty also put him into the record books as the first Indian wicketkeeper to make a T20I century. In contrast, India’s score of 297/6 stands at the second position in T20I’s all-time highest score, contributing only Nepal’s 314/3. This match also saw India register its joint-best score of 82/1 in the powerplay while scoring their first 100 runs in a record time of 7.1 overs.
