IND vs NZ 3rd Test: New Zealand Whitewash India At Home, Wins By 25 Runs: New Zealand pulled off a thrilling win on the 3rd day of the third test match of IND vs NZ played in Mumbai by 25 runs, completing the remarkable series whitewashing India. India, after bowling out New Zealand for 174 early in the morning, could manage only 121 runs in their second innings. After being set a target of 147 runs thanks to some resistance from Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar.

Beginning the second innings as part of the chase of 147 runs, India lost a few quick wickets in the opening order as well, with some of the best batters like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill out for a few runs only leaving India’s score at 45/5. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant scored an aggressive fifty (64 off 57 balls) to give some hope. When he was out, and the situation was 106/7 for India. After that, Sundar and the tailenders tried to take the team closer to victory but met the end of their innings at 121. Thanks to the New Zealand bowlers led by Ajaz Patel (6/57).

Patel’s brilliant spell rounded off a fantastic day alongside Phillips, who took three important wickets. Ajaz Patel also becomes the first foreign bowler to take maximum wickets at a venue (23*). It was also a moment of merit for New Zealand, as they have become one of the very few teams to accomplish a series clean sweep against India.
