IND vs SL 2nd ODI: Sri Lanka Won By 32 Runs. After two back-to-back draw games in the 3rd T20I and 1st ODI, both India and Sri Lanka would be looking forward to leading the series. Sri Lanka has made two changes in the team. Kamindu Mendis and Jeffrey Vandersay have come in place of Wanindu Hasaranga and Mohamed Shiraz. Team India played with the same team from the 1st ODI which ended in a tie.
Sri Lanka made a defending total
Sri Lanka led by Asalanka made a decent total of 240/9 against the tight bowling lineup of team India. Avishka Fernando’s 40(62), Kushal and Kamindu’s 30(42) & 40(44) and young Wellalage’s quick 39(35) helped Sri Lanka to reach the mark. Indian bowlers were quite economical with Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav taking three and two wickets. Mohammad Siraj and Axar Patel also took 1 wicket each. Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma got run outs of K.Mendis and Dhananjaya.

Indian middle order disappointed again
Rohit Sharma along with Shubman Gill made a great opening partnership for team India, with Rohit scoring a quick 64 runs in 44 balls. All middle-order batsmen failed to perform against the Sri Lankan bowlers. Axar Patel tried to build up the innings, but due to a lack of support from the other end he lost his wicket too. India lost all its wickets scoring 208 runs in 42.2 overs.
Sri Lanka won the match by 32 runs because of the commendable performance of Jeffrey Vandersay who clinched 6 wickets. Captain Charith Asalanka also took 3 wickets. Sri Lanka is now leading the series with 1-0. Team India will be looking forward to drawing the series in the 3rd ODI.
