India To Face India-A In A 3-Day Warm-Up Match Ahead Of Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024: Before the Australian summer presents the important Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024, the Indian team will play a three-day practice match on the 15th-17th of November at the WACA Ground, Perth, against India A. This game is solely aimed at giving the Indian team one last practice of Australian conditions. It will help India before the five-Test series next starting November 22 against the hosts.

This preparation is a warm-up match, as India embarks on creating history by winning the third Test series in Australia. India ‘A’, which has already engaged Australia ‘A’ in two first-class fixtures, will provide match practice for the senior team.

Schedule and Format

The match will commence only a few days before the first test at Perth Stadium. India ‘A’ will be under captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and will comprise the players on the fringe of selection in the main squad. The senior eleven will most likely include the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. All other players will use the match to practice and get used to the Australian weather.
