India vs Canada T20 World Cup 2024 Match Called Off Due to Wet Outfield. Due to a disappointing development for cricket enthusiasts, the eagerly awaited T20 World Cup match between India vs Canada was called off without even a single ball in sight. It was the bad, wet field at Lauderhill, Florida’s Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground that took on that responsibility.

Therefore, with Rohit Sharma at the helm, India stayed true to script in the group stage and is now off to the Super 8 phase, actually one of the title hotshots. The rain had stopped in good time, but the stadium outfield remained patchy. After doing two inspections, Richard Kettleborough and Sharfuddoula called off the game. There was no toss, and the bowlers couldn’t deliver a single ball.

Rohit Sharma’s India secured first place in Group A with three wins and a no-result match, earning seven points and a net run rate (NRR) of +1.137. On the other hand, Canada is currently in third place following the three-point score they have and a net run rate (NRR) of -0.493. Moreover, this scenario not only underlines the Indians’ superiority in the group stage but also creates a tense Super 8 phase as they are amongst the top contenders for the title.

India’s next match is on June 20 against Afghanistan in the 8th round of the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown – the match starts at 8:00 PM IST. The match is important because it allows India to maintain their unbeaten record. Afterwards, the Indian team is to meet Australia who is their nemesis because of the heartbreak India got in last year’s ODI World Cup final by the same team. This one is the Fight Series. That is not all though, the keen anticipation of the cricket enthusiasts adds to the story of it that would make you feel happy in any situation! The fans, of course, are anxiously waiting to see how India avenges, continuing their dominant performance in the tournament.
