IPL 2023: Kane Williamson To Miss Entire Season, Gujarat Titans Confirm. On April 2, 2023, the Gujarat Titans franchise confirmed that kiwi batsman Kane Williamson ruled out from the entire Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 due to a knee injury. Williamson, the mainstay of New Zealand’s batting line-up, injured his right knee while attempting a catch during the season opener against Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium last Friday. About Kane Williamson’s Injury
During the opening match of the tournament, New Zealand captain Williamson suffered a knee injury while fielding. He fell while attempting to intercept a ball hit by CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad. In the 13th over of CSK’s innings, Williamson limped off the field. This was his debut match for Gujarat Titans. Williamson will return to New Zealand for further evaluation of his injury.

The Titans will soon announce a replacement for Williamson. Williamson had been signed by them for Rs 2 crore after being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he was their captain. Sunrisers Hyderabad had released 12 players following their eighth-place finish in IPL 2022.
