Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul achieved a noteworthy T20 milestone in a recent IPL 2023 match against Gujarat Titans. Although he had been facing criticism for his recent slow batting. there were high expectations for Rahul to perform well as both an international player and team skipper. In a recent match against Punjab Kings, he demonstrated good form by scoring 74 runs.
During the match against Gujarat Titans, Rahul continued to impress and surpassed 7000 runs in T20s. He marked this milestone on the final ball of LSG’s chase of 136 against GT by hitting Mohammed Shami for a four.
He became the first Indian batsman to achieve this milestone in less than 200 innings (197 innings, to be exact). The second-fastest Indian to reach 7000 T20 runs is Virat Kohli, who achieved the feat in 212 innings. It is followed by Shikhar Dhawan (246 innings) and Rohit Sharma (258 innings).

LSG vs GT Result: 22nd April
On 22 April, Hardik Pandya and Mohit Sharma delivered impressive performances as Gujarat Titans secured a seven-run thrilling victory over Lucknow Super Giants in an IPL 2023 match. GT chose to bat on a slow track and managed to score 135 for six. Hardik Pandya smashed four sixes to score 66 off 50 balls, and Wriddhiman Saha contributed 47 runs off 37 balls.
LSG looked comfortable in their chase until KL Rahul struggled after scoring 68 runs off 61 balls. In the final over, Mohit Sharma defended 12 runs brilliantly.
