Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran guided Lucknow Super Giants to a total of 165 for 4 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL 2024 match at Uppal Stadium on Wednesday. In the final over of the LSG innings, Badoni played an innovative shot, reverse-lapping SRH’s Pat Cummins, who was bought for Rs 20.50 crore, for a boundary.
Batting first, Badoni remained unbeaten on 55 while Pooran contributed 48 not out, forming a crucial partnership of 99 runs for the fifth wicket for SRH. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most successful bowler for SRH, picking up 2 wickets for 12 runs.
In the second innings, SRH utterly dominated LSG in the pursuit of 166 runs, reaching the target in a mere 9.4 overs. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma played with LSG bowlers, both remaining undefeated to secure SRH a resounding 10-wicket victory.
