IPL 2024 Points Table, Most Runs & Most Wickets (Updated) After RR vs MI Match. In the high-voltage clash between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the iconic Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, the fortress proved to be a happy hunting ground for the Royals once again. They secured a convincing victory by 9 wickets.
Rajasthan Royals bowler Sandeep Sharma took five wickets, but Mumbai Indians managed to put up a challenging total of 179/9, largely thanks to Tilak Varma’s 65 and Nehal Wadhera’s 49, who built a strong partnership of 99 runs for the fifth wicket. Trent Boult also grabbed a couple of wickets for the Royals. Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya chose to bat first after winning the toss in Jaipur. Mumbai made three changes to their team, bringing in Nehal Wadhera, Piyush Chawla, and Nuwan Thushara, while Sandeep Sharma returned for the Rajasthan Royals.
Rajasthan Royals got off to a great start in their chase against Mumbai Indians, scoring 61 runs in the first six overs, mainly due to a strong opening partnership between Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rain interrupted their flow for a bit, and Mumbai managed to fight back after Buttler got out, but missed catches of Jaiswal and Samson hurt them. Jaiswal made the most of his chance and scored a century, supported by a fantastic inning from Samson. Together, they led the Royals to a comfortable 9-wicket win.
