In a very wise decision made, India’s all-rounder, treated as a spin-bowling expert, Axar Patel was handed the captaincy for the Delhi Capitals for the 2025 IPL season. Axar has been with the team since 2019 and has consistently contributed with 967 runs and 62 wickets in 82 matches. He takes over from Rishabh Pant, who has moved into the Lucknow Super Giants.
