IPL 2025: Hyderabad to Host Two Playoff Matches: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the most important games of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season will be played out in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Qualifier 1: It will be played on May 21, and it will feature the two best teams of the league stage, with the top team going straight into the final.

Eliminator: The knockout will be played on May 22 with the third and fourth place teams competing for survival in the tournament.

This is clearly a big recognition of the importance of Hyderabad in the IPL. As well as its stature as a prominent centre capable of holding major cricket events. Eden Gardens will open the IPL with the first game and end with the final game of the season on May 25. Another step in this direction will involve a match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the historic Eden Gardens on March 21.
