IPL 2025: Mahela Jayawardene Reappointed As The Head Coach Of Mumbai Indians: Mahela Jayawardene has been reappointed as the head coach of the Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2025 season. After a tough 2024 season where the Mumbai Indians finished at the last position on the log, necessitating major changes before the start of the next season.
Jayawardene is returning to the franchise, having been the head coach of the team from 2017 until 2022. He guided the team to three Indian Premier League titles in 2017, 2019, and 2020. Mark Boucher has been released by MI.
Jayawardene did not coach the team for long. He left in 2022 and took the post of Global Head of Cricket at Mumbai Indians.
