Mumbai Indians have made it known that Paras Mhambrey will serve as the team’s bowling coach for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Mhambrey, an Indian ex-cricketer, and experienced coach, will partner with the great Lasith Malinga in boosting the team’s bowling line.
As per the sources, the finalization of his appointment came only after some extensive selection process, mainly due to the experience that he had in coaching and more so in nurturing young bowlers.
“We are proud to announce that Paras Mhambrey has agreed to join us as our bowling coach”, said Akash Ambani, owner of the Mumbai Indians. His experience and knowledge will be crucial for our bowlers, enhancing their performance, which will in turn add to the success of the team. Mhambrey, who has played 38 first-class matches in which he took 97 wickets, was formerly the coach of India’s Under-19 squad and the bowling coach of the Bengal Ranji team.
“I feel privileged to be a part of the Mumbai Indians family and am excited to work with such a talent-rich team”, Mhambrey said. Having Lasith Malinga will be a big plus, and I hope to learn from him as well as help the team win. He has also been with the franchise since 2009, and Malinga will also continue to assist the bowlers in the franchise.
